⛱ The BEST excuse to lie around this Summer
Things are nice and quiet here, you may have noticed.
Climate Calm™ has taken a holiday from social media and marketing, a wellbeing practice I highly recommend.
This pause has brought fresh energy, which I’m pouring lovingly into finishing the book.
For these last couple of weeks of summer, you’ll mostly find me lying on the grass or the beach, reading, writing, or appearing to do very little.
My excuse is entirely scientific: it’s called grounding.
Direct skin contact with the earth, whether walking barefoot, lying on the lawn, or standing on sand, is scientifically proven to calm the nervous system.
Grounding, or ‘earthing’ as it is also called, allows the body to absorb electrons and neutralise free radicals, and it helps rebalance your circadian rhythm.
If you’ve felt better after lying around on holiday this summer, here’s your invitation to bring the practice home. And if anyone asks, the mantra “I’m not lazy, I’m grounding” should keep your peace.
